ONGOING OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT TEAM

Lindsay A. Alexander

Chairman of the Board of Managers

Just a couple years ago, several credit unions gathered around a board table to discuss the possibilities of collaborating on a business continuity initiative. The terrorist attacks of September 11th and the security alerts were wake-up calls for all of us as we were located around the DC area. We knew that there were all sorts of scenarios where our operations were could be and already were negatively impacted. Never before has disaster recovery been more top of mind among credit union executives. In a short time, seven credit unions made a commitment to move ahead with plans to protect their credit unions together. We were fortunate to have talented individuals on staff that had worked out the preliminary details needed to configure an extremely complicated task. After hard work and great efforts of many, Ongoing Operations was launched. Although we had not originally planned to expand Ongoing Operations nationally at that time, I am proud to say that our CUSO has come to the forefront in assisting not only the founding credit unions with customized business continuity services, but is now providing a variety of these services to credit unions of all sizes across the country. Kirk Drake, and his team are forming strong strategic partnerships that will provide the expertise and resources needed to create the best service and business protection for all credit unions.

The board and credit union owners look forward to 2007 and beyond and see great possibilities with our strong leadership team and valuable partnerships. It promises to be an exciting future for Ongoing Operations.
